How to get to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The easiest way to get to Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat is by plane. The closest airport is Nice Cote d’Azur, which offers direct flights from all major European airports.
From Nice, you can take a trip to Villefranche-sur-Mer, which is the closest town to Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat. It takes about 10 minutes by train from Nice.
Another option is the #15 bus from Nice, which takes about 30 minutes and costs only 1,50 euros.

If you are looking into staying in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, you are in for a treat. The town is home to some of the most luxurious hotels and villas in Europe.

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is even more beautiful from the sea. I would absolutely recommend chartering a boat or doing a boat tour around the area.
Going to the beach
The beaches are the perfect place to relax and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. You can also rent kayaks or paddleboards for a more adventurous experience.
Some of the best beaches in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat are Plage Passable, Plage Cros dei Pin, and Plage de la Fosse.
Spend an afternoon at Paloma Beach
Speaking of beaches, Paloma Beach is one of the most popular spots in Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat and a great place to spend the day.
This Instagram-worthy beach club and restaurant has amazing views over the Mediterranean and serves some of the best seafood in the area.
Visit Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
Another favorite of mine is Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild. It’s a stunning villa with beautiful gardens and rooms to explore. This café is also lovely for lunch.
Hike Sentier du Litoral
If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, why not go on a hike along the Sentier du Litoral?
This scenic trail follows the coastline and takes you to some of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat.
Dine at Saint-Jean Village
Saint-Jean Village is a great place to enjoy some fine dining. Some of the best restaurants to try include Restaurant La Goëlette, Capitaine Cook, and Le Saint-Jean.
Explore Villefranche-sur-Mer
Villefranche-sur-Mer is a small port town located just south of Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat.
This charming town has a lovely promenade lined with cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the sea view while sipping your favorite wine.
Explore Monaco
Monaco is another must-see destination when visiting Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat.
It’s only a short drive away and offers plenty of things to do, including seeing the famous Monte Carlo Casino.
When to visit Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat
The best time to visit Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat is during the months from May to September. Although to be honest, it’s a lovely destination no matter the time of the year.
If you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere, try visiting in early spring or late autumn. The sunsets over the Mediterranean during these months are truly breathtaking.
How long to stay in Saint-Jean-Cap Ferrat
One day is more than enough to enjoy everything Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has to offer, but the town is also a good place to use a base to explore the French Riviera if you are looking for something quieter than Nice.
